At the first sound of a cake fair got me all hyped up and who could turn down a cake fair? Not me! Although I was a little bit disappointed that there wasn't any cake being served or sold because WHO DOESN'T SELL CAKE AT A CAKE FAIR!? But I was honestly blown away by the amount of talent there was! Imagine pretty wedding cakes at a whole new level! Cakes were being made and almost "sculpted" into different forms and stories, some even life-sized. This year's Cake International Fair was held in Alexandra Palace, London for 2 days- 16th & 17th April.
Really cute no? I wonder if these cakes actually tastes nice though. I mean ultimately if you ever do buy one, you're gonna be splurging quite an amount on it but imagine taking that bite and feeling utterly disappointed. Kind of defeats the purpose of a cake in my opinion.
How about this life-sized Maleficent made out of icing and cream! Whutt. The artists behind these must have taken ages on it. Look at the details on the dress!
If this is something of interest to you, do check out their next show at NEC, Birmingham on the 4th-6th of November. You can get your tickets here
Till next time!
